Moonee Ponds House. The Moonee Ponds house is a new single storey house for a young professional couple and their two children. Patricia, who is Spanish, wanted to feel the hot western heat in winter. High west facing windows with external blinds allow these windows to be opened and closed as the seasons permit. Patricia also requested a screened entry which can be left open for through breezes. Movable screens were also used in front of the main bedroom for privacy and sense of security as well as access for air and light as required. Materials were chosen for their low maintenance qualities and simplicity.
