- energy efficient appliances were chosen
- solar generated power (this house is off the main power grid)
Water
- water efficient appliances and taps were installed
- collection of rainwater for domestic use
Materials
- low voc materials were used
- reverse brick veneer construction for thermal mass
- polished concrete slab for thermal mass, thermal mass assists passive heating and cooling
- low maintenance materials were used
- local products were chosen where possible
